Getting Started

If you have not already done so please read Ron Pramschufer's article, What would you do if you only had $500 to market your book. To outline his article this is what you need to do to get started

Step One:  Purchase your website address  / domain name

This can be done by clicking here to check the availability of domain names. Once you have found a name which is available, buy it!  The name only costs $15.00 per year so you might want to purchase one for you publishing company name, one for your author's name, and one for your book title (if it is not too long). All three of those domain names can be directed to the same website, meaning you will not have to have three separate website's.

Step Two: Write your website copy

In Ron's article he reiterates the importance of keyword rich website copy.  Website copy or website content is VERY important.  You do not want to have the same information that is written in the back of your book cover or on the flaps of your dust jacket, your website is an extension of your book you want the content to be original.  If you are having trouble coming up with what you need to write for your website please contact me at matt@e-moxie.com or toll free at 1-877-275-4875 and I can steer you on the right direction.

Step Three: Designing Your Website

Now this is the fun part!  We have developed a special package for self-publishers which has all of the necessary items you will need to have a successful website, at an affordable price of $475.

A PayPal Shopping Cart, PayPal is a great company that lets you accept credit cards online for a very low rate.  There is no setup fee and there is no monthly fee, they make their money by charging a percentage on each transaction.  For more information on PayPal visit their website at www.paypal.com

Our Basic Mailing List Manager is a way for you to be able to capture names and email addresses of viewers who would like to signup to stay informed.  All of the names get stored in an online database where you can at anytime download a MS Excel file which contains all addresses. 

An Integrated Contact Form is a form on your website that gives the viewer the ability to get in touch with you via email without having to leave your website. 

Basic Search Engine Submission and Optimization.  With this service we will submit your completed website to all of the major search engines and many of the smaller search engines and directories. We try to hone in on three major keywords, the authors name, the title of the book, and the publishing company.That way if someone searches for any of those our goal is to have your website listed on the first page.
